white knight happened in Marrakech, Morocco in one of the better local venues, the Dar Yacout.

Actually Dar Yacout is amongst the best known traditional and best rated Moroccan restaurants in Marrakech. Located right in the Medina, the old town, it really stands out for its very special ambiance: riad-style patios, open spaces, terraces all in refined morrocan decor. All this creates an intimate, magic atmosphere. Evening guests are welcomed by servants, dressed in their traditional djellaba with a signature drink on one of the open terraces above the medina, under a usually cloudless sky. Excellent authentic cuisine adds to create wonderful evening experiences.

Our white knight is one of the very attentive servants who personally accompany their guests through the evening. He is shown here a bit apart from the otherwise very abundant decor of Dar Yacout, probably on the stairs to the restrooms, spontaneously photographed passing by. His white dress with its distinct soft drapery is in almost B/W dialogue with the wall behind with its distinct B/W pattern. The red fez however provides a discrete yet discernible colour accent.

white night originated in Marrakech, Morocco. It shows a waiter in a well known restaurant, assigned to accompany guests to their tables and back. The image was taken in very low light, hence the somewhat fuzzy representation, produced in extensive digital rework. The very strong graphics together with the nearly monochrome coloring, disrupted by the red bonnet, mark the essence of this picture.

white night is offered as a numbered, signed original in limited editions, printed on premium quality foto paper, 84,1 x 46 cm with a 5 cm white margin, without watermark.
